Privacy Policy

Who we are

VeloBriefing is published by AITEKS SOLUCOES EM TECNOLOGIA LTDA (CNPJ 57.420.480/0001-67), Brazil. Contact: contato@aiteks.com.br.

This policy covers the VeloBriefing iPhone app, its widgets, its Apple Watch app, shared ride links and the pages at aiteks.com.br/velobriefing.

The short version

There is no app account, no advertising and no cross-app advertising tracking. We do not sell personal data or store your rides on our servers. RevenueCat processes subscription information as described below.

Your rides, preferences and the last forecasts stay on your devices. To produce forecasts, maps and routes, the app sends the coordinates of your route to the services listed below.

Data that stays on your devices

Saved rides (names, places, coordinates, schedule and any GPS track), app preferences, cached forecasts and widget snapshots are stored on your iPhone and shared only with VeloBriefing's own widgets and Apple Watch app on your devices.

Deleting a ride removes it from the device. Deleting the app removes all of its data.

Subscriptions and purchases

Apple processes payments. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app identifier, purchase history and technical information such as app version, platform, locale and connection information to validate purchases, restore access and report subscription performance. We do not send route coordinates, ride names, Apple Health data, email addresses or advertising identifiers to RevenueCat.

Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to purchases: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ . RevenueCat privacy information: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy .

Weather forecasts

MET Norway, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (api.met.no), receives the coordinates of the three reference places of a ride to return forecasts. Like any web service it also sees your IP address and keeps standard technical logs under its own privacy policy.

Apple Weather (WeatherKit) receives the same coordinates when it is available. Apple handles them under its own privacy policy.

Maps, routes and traffic

Apple Maps receives address searches, the places you choose and, to suggest a street course and estimate typical traffic, the coordinates of your route. Apple handles these requests under its privacy policy and does not link them to your Apple Account for us.

Location

Location access is optional. It is used only to center the route editor near you. VeloBriefing does not record your rides or track you in the background.

Apple Health

If you choose Import → Apple Health, the app asks to read your cycling workouts and their routes. Health data is read only on your device, only when you pick a workout, and only to create a ride from its course, start time and duration.

VeloBriefing never writes to Apple Health, never sends Health data to us, and never uses it for advertising, marketing or data mining. The saved ride keeps a simplified course, which is then treated like any other ride.

Apple Watch, widgets, notifications and Siri

Your iPhone sends your saved rides to your Apple Watch through Apple's encrypted WatchConnectivity link. The watch requests its own forecasts from Apple Weather and MET Norway.

Ride alerts are local notifications computed on the device; no push server is involved.

Ride names are made available to Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight on your device so you can ask about them.

Support

If you email us, we receive what you choose to send and use it only to answer you. Please do not send passwords or identity documents.

Children

VeloBriefing is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

Your rights

Under the Brazilian LGPD, the GDPR and similar laws you may ask about, correct or delete personal data we hold. Because rides stay on your devices, you can delete them at any time in the app. For anything else, write to contato@aiteks.com.br.

Changes

We will update this page and its date if this policy changes. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
